Rolf is part of a bandit group called Brethen of the Woods, a bandit group in Ehlerdah. However, Deshavi and his Ehlerdah story might complete part of the puzzle. This leave Rolf's true origins are vague and mysterious.
However, this story may be fabricated since the 'House of Rolf' feels to obvious to be a lie. But the authorities called him a bandit and brigand unfairly and seek employment for his services. According to himself, he claimed to be a noble lineage from outside Calradia, hoping to make a name for himself.
